G‑Shock DW‑9500XS Glacier

I bought an unused DW‑9500XS‑3T Glacier from Japan for my JPfans video. The clear blue case caught my eye. Its battery was dead, so I fitted a CR2016 and brought it back to life. These are my first impressions, not a full wear review.

Best for:Collectors who like older G‑Shocks with clear blue resin
Not ideal if:You want a watch ready for swimming or easy‑to‑find spare parts. Old resin and seals can age even when a watch has never been worn.

My First Impressions

I opened and tried this watch in my JPfans video. A full wear review and score are still to come.

What Caught My Eye

  • The clear blue bezel gives this older G-Shock its Glacier look.
  • A fresh CR2016 battery brought my watch back to life.
  • I tried the timer, stopwatch, recall mode and five alarms in the video.

What to Check

  • Unused does not mean new. My watch still had some small marks.
  • The resin and seals need checking on a watch this old.
  • I have not tested its water resistance or added a full wear review yet.
