THE ANALOG-DIGITAL G-SHOCK

G-ShockOwned and Reviewed

G-Shock GA-2100 Casioak

A slim, tough G‑Shock that feels well made and sits comfortably on the wrist. The hands are clear, and the small weekday dial is handy. I loved my Hidden Glow dial at night. Compared with the SKMEI 2091, the Casio offers better build quality, a thinner case and hands that move both ways when setting the time.

Best for:People who want a slim, genuine G‑Shock with an analogue dial and useful digital functions
Not ideal if:You use the small digital screen a lot or want easy‑to‑press buttons. My Hidden Glow edition has a dark screen that is hard to read. Look for a GA‑2100 with dark digits on a light screen instead.

“I have a love hate relationship with this watch. I like the size and comfort, but I absolutely hate the useless small digital display.”

Review evidence

My Hidden Glow edition

I tested the grey GA-2100HD-8A Hidden Glow for a week. This is the edition my review and specs cover. The other colours shown here are GA-2100 models, but I have not tested each one.

Compare the details

G‑Shock GA‑2100 Casioak or SKMEI 2091?

Compare the thinner, genuine G-Shock with the much cheaper SKMEI: its soft straps and larger buttons have advantages, but the construction, water rating and hand-setting behaviour differ.

Which GA-2100 would I choose?

I loved the glowing dial on my grey Hidden Glow edition. Its small dark screen was much harder to read. If you use the timer or alarms often, look for dark digits on a light screen.

There are plenty of GA-2100 colours to choose from. Not all have the Hidden Glow dial. The colours shown here are GA-2100 models only, not the solar GA-B2100 or metal GM-2100.
