About Tim & ModBench

I’m Tim from GOAT Reviews. I review watches and try the upgrades that catch my eye, then show how they actually turn out.

ModBench brings those builds together so you can check the parts and awkward bits before giving one a go. The original videos are linked throughout. You can see the work for yourself.

A bit of wrist context

My wrist is 6.5 in (16.5 cm), as shown in the gunmetal F-91W strap video. A strap that sits well on me may fit you differently. That’s why the guides keep the model, strap and fit checks specific.

The failures belong here too

The earlier Royale metal case fogged after a shower. The Bumblebee display needed reseating. The Duro lens work needed rework. Leaving those details out would make the shopping list easier to sell and less useful to you.

How a build gets included

It needs an identifiable watch, an original GOAT Reviews build and traceable parts information. The five launch builds cover four models. These are five builds I’ve tried. There are plenty of other parts and combinations I haven’t tested.

I’ve brought my build notes and parts links together here, with chapter links so you can watch the work. Current maker guidance has its own checked date. A part fitting my watch doesn’t prove that another version will fit yours.

How the site earns money

Some parts links can earn a commission. Vario supplied the leather straps for my F-91W build. Both are disclosed where they matter. Commission does not decide the finder order, and an uncertain part link can be paused.

Help keep the notes useful

Each guide links to its original video. Leave a comment there if a part has changed or a fit note needs correcting. Include the model and the issue, without personal information.
